KINGMAN — Marie Kenner, 77, Kingman, who has resided at Covington Manor Health Care Center for the past three years, died at 11:07 a.m. Sept. 28, 1999 at the center. Born Aug. 13, 1922 in McLean County, Ill. she was the daughter of Owen and Sally Morgan Lloyd. She married Manley A. Kenner Aug. 1939 who proceeded her in death May 1989. She was employed 15 years as an insurance agent with the Farm Bureau Insurance of Veedersburg. She also worked five years as a dispatcher in the Attica radio room, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Centennial Community Church and the Ladies- Aide class of the church. Member of the VFW Auxiliary Post of Kingman. She was an area reporter for the Crawfordsville Journal Review, Fountain County Star and the Commercial-News. She enjoyed quilting and reading Survivors include: sons, Bill (Jane) Kenner, Kingman, Mick (Janet) Kenner, Zephyrhills, Fla.; step-daughter, Betty Jane (Don) Wheeler, Champaign, Ill; sisters, Vivian Wemken Fla., Frances (Ben) Watkins, Bloomington, Ill; brothers, Russell (Mary Ann) Lloyd, Chicago Ill, Floyd (Agnes) Lloyd, Cincinnati, Ohio, Frank (Berny) Lloyd, Mo., Chuck Jones, Mexico; four grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a step-son. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Kent officiating.
